Welcome to HonokaaHawaii.com

Honokaa is located on the Big Island's Hamakua Coast some 40 miles north of Hilo. The community is a close-knit one that has roots going back to the sugar plantation days of more than 100 years ago. The plantation is gone, but the town lives on. Honokaa residents and those living in the surrounding area have proven to be resilient. managing to maintain their unique and cherished lifestyles. Businesses have defied the odds by creating new markets within the community and far beyond.

This website is a leap forward from the original Honokaa Online & Photos Website, which resides at our old home on Hawaii's H4 Data Superhighway. With its easy to remember URL of HonokaaHawaii.com this site features the most recent news links, photos, information, links and more information to and about our town.

The original site at H4 is back after having been offline since December. The site runs faster and everything that was there still is, including links to many other Hawaii photos and content created by the publisher (that would be me).
